We’re looking for a Social Media & Community Engagement Intern to join our team.

 

 

The She Sparks Agency is growing, and we would love to connect with you. We are offering a 12-week internship for an energetic and hardworking Social Media and Community Engagement Intern. If you are looking for a hands-on experience and the opportunity to join a growing team, we would love to hear from you!

The internship offers a total immersion into the world of branding & marketing. Intern will work closely with the Creative Director to learn about social media, digital communications, and marketing in a business to business and business to consumer environment.

Intern Purpose:

This role will be instrumental in increasing social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand among clients and prospects. Interns will also have an opportunity to contribute during all meetings and will take on some client responsibilities.

Key Duties:

  • Coordinating and executing the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn

  • Perform general administrative duties, creative writing, photo researching, content creation, research, occasionally helping with photo-shoots and video production.

  • Ensure uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within social
    communities.

  • Posting content to Social Platforms on a daily basis (both job- and industry-related); and using scheduling tools to plan forward-looking posts over weekends and holidays (under supervision)

  • Increase the number of followers on each Social Platforms by following and engaging with potential clients and candidates as well as targeted social campaigns.

  • Monitoring all interactions and engagements on all social platforms. Responsible for responding to each.

  • Work with Director to implement other channel-specific campaigns (e.g. uploading videos to YouTube, etc)

  • Establish content ideas for the month ahead, and to plan for a monthly social media, editorial, marketing and blogging calendar.

  • Maintain a monthly social media and blogging calendar and ensure that everyone is meeting their deadlines.

  • Upload and manage company blog posts in WordPress/Wix (initially under supervision from a director).

  • Re-purpose content from other sources for our own social media channels (and understand how to change the tone of the content for each channel).

  • Track key social media analytics on a monthly basis, including Google Analytics, Bitly statistics, LinkedIn company stats, etc.

Duration:

  • The internship is available for the for 12- weeks for 15 + hours a month with specific days and times agreed upon.

  • Candidate must be available for mandatory workshops/events (twice a month) and a 30-35 minute Saturday call at 10:30 AM for weekly assignments/touching bases.

  • Fall Internship: August 20th, 2018 

  • Spring Internship:  Jan 7, 2019 or Jan 14, 2019

  • Summer Internship: May 6, 2019 or May 13, 2019

Required:

  • Must have access to computer & mobile phone (Bonus: Apple/Mac)

Preferred:

  • Marketing, Communications, Fine Arts, Business, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google programs/Adobe Creative Suite
